In the category of things to buy before I die/If I’m rich enough…

An Eames rocker. Words cannot describe how much I love this rocking chair. It adds an element of surprise to every room and is incredibly versatile. It looks just as great in a nursery as it does in a living room. The first photo is actually a reproduction of the Eames classic so If you don’t want to break the bank just yet on an original, you can find that one at Overstock

I just picked up these two great night stands tonight. They have a really unique shape since they’re a lot wider than regular night tables. The amazing thing about antique pices such as these is that you can instantly rejuvenate them with a new paint color yet they still keep their character. These need a lot of work but it’ll definitely be worth it! I think the details on the front drawers will stand out if we repaint them white with dark hardware and then distress the raised parts with dark paint. What do you think?

What do you think of the trend of mirrored furniture? Fab or Fad? I like it in the form of a small hutch, side table or nightstand but would never buy a large mirrored piece. A little too gaudy for me. My two cents.

Those Legs!

Colored legs give a funky look to any simple wooden table, especially if your space is neutral and streamlined.

Swing it, don’t wing it, at your next office meeting

The Duffy London design studio came up with such an innovative idea with this project called “Swing Table”. Swapping typical office chairs for swings is a sure way to liven up those boaring conference meetings
