An Eames rocker. Words cannot describe how much I love this rocking chair. It adds an element of surprise to every room and is incredibly versatile. It looks just as great in a nursery as it does in a living room. Black&White Decor: Hot or Cold?
“All these photos are so cold. Our future house is gonna look like an art gallery slash cemetary.”-words from my loving boyfriend/contractor, while commenting on my design-inspiration photos.
I’m in the middle of putting together an inspiration board for a client requesting a black and white color palette with an industrial feel. I was super happy to get started because it’s always great when a client’s taste is actually in line with my own. I LOVE black&white so this is like getting a bonus where I can consult a lifetime’s worth of personal design-related material that’s been hoarded on my desktop. And…I can do it all while wearing nothing but my black and white checkerboard patterned underwear in the name of celebration! KIDDING. I NEVER do that.

Couch Crush
I think I found my happy place. Call me a loser but I think it’s at Ikea. I don’t know what it is about that place but I always get a warm fuzzy feeling when I’m there. Kind of like how normal people feel around Christmas time. I’ve never tried the food there though…you have to draw the line somewhere. I was there last weekend and absolutely fell in love with the Karlstad couch in the Isunda grey color. If ever there was a perfect couch, it would be this. Its modern but still accessible and its icy grey color goes with almost anything.
